Monday morning May 15, 2023 in Williamson Ravine. Starting from the Gerrard St. E stairway entrance.
Smalls Creek runs through the Williamson Ravine in east-end Toronto. It was bit low as there hadn’t been any major rainfall for several weeks.
A brief video of the rippling waters
There are two paths through the Ravine the most used is along the east side of the creek. It has been well looked after by the public that uses it. Over the years different lumber, sometime tinder bricks, have shown up to made the soggy area easier to hike. This walk is from the north entrance south to Gerrard E.
Took the short walk through the Williamson Ravine this morning – it longer trail was still to icy for me to risk.

A day after the first real winter snow fall was a perfect day for a visit to the Williamson Ravine, while we still have access to it & while it remains intact. Soon to become a major construction zone & probably closed for any public use until that construction is over. No, they aren’t putting in condos but Metrolinx is adding another line to the tracks than run though the north end of the Ravine. For more info:

Took my monthly walk through the Williamson Ravine earlier this month. Spring has sprung thanks to rain & sun. The first day this year I wore shorts. Social distancing not to difficult. Kids love any excuse to jump in the water 🙂
