Washington Rundown

Here are the links to my blog posts about Capturing Fire 2015/16. Blogging about the event & the city played a big part in my enjoying the event. I was great to hit a couple of the open stages but I could sense I wasn’t angry enough to get people’s attention.

It was also a challenge to engage many of the poets in conversation as they were always deep in conversation with each other. I’m not the type to stand the edge of a conversation hoping to get included. Or when chat started they were looking over my shoulder for the poet they really wanted to talk to. But I did have a few good, sustained conversations as well.
